Instead of visiting your favourite sites from time to time to read any updates let the sites come to you!
What do you mean? How can the sites come to me? With a reader, or rss reader they can if the site you are interested in produce something called rss feeds. Many sites do, even this humble blog!
Two readers I have used are Bloglines and Google Reader. To find out how they work, just click the links.
Another way to let the sites come to you is to receive updates in emails. Many sites offer it using a service from Google called Feedburner.
